Did you know that there are more than 100 billion stars in the Milky Way? That’s about the same number of neurons in the human brain.

Imagine that, an entire galaxy in your child’s mind.

So keep sparking your little dreamer’s creativity by bringing the stars into her room with these simple threading activities.

Constellation Threading Cards

What you need:

  • Pencil

  • Colorful yarn

  • Scissors

What to do:

  1. (Download Button) our threading patterns of the constellations Orion and Big Dipper and print them.

  2. Cut them into cards.

  3. Using a pencil, punch holes along the dots.

  4. Get a length of yarn and tie one end into a big knot.

  5. Help your child thread the yarn through the first hole with the knot resting at the card’s back.

  6. Follow the lines as a guide and thread through the rest. When you want to end, simply make another big knot at the back of the card.

String Planets

  6. Help your child thread the yarn through the sun with the knot resting at the back.
